Who we are
Babcock Electric LLC(“Babcock Electric,” “we,” “us”) operates this website at babcockelectricllc.com and provides electrical contracting services across Southwest Louisiana. We can be reached at (337) 722-5099 or info@babcockelectric.com. Louisiana Electrical Contractor #78386.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly when you fill out our contact / estimate form, call our office, or otherwise reach out for service. That includes:
- Contact details — name, phone number, email, service address.
- Project details — the description of work you want done, photos you upload of the job site, and any other context you choose to share.
- Submission metadata — your IP address, browser user-agent, the page you submitted from, and the page that referred you. We use this for spam prevention and to understand which marketing channels are working.
We do not buy contact lists, scrape personal data, or build advertising profiles on visitors.
How we use it
- To respond to your request. Our office uses your contact info to call or email you back, schedule a site visit, and prepare your quote.
- To deliver the service. If you become a customer, we keep your information on file to manage the job, invoice, and follow up.
- To prevent abuse. Submission metadata feeds rate-limiting and spam detection on our intake form.
- To improve the website. Aggregate, non-personal traffic data helps us know which pages and services people actually find useful.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with:
- Service providers we use to run the business — our hosting, database, file storage, email, and accounting providers (Supabase, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, and similar). They process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments.
- Subcontractors and inspectors when a job specifically requires their involvement (e.g., parish permit filings).
- Law enforcementif we’re required to by a valid subpoena, court order, or applicable law.
How long we keep it
We keep contact and project records for as long as you’re an active customer plus the period required by Louisiana recordkeeping rules for licensed electrical contractors (typically seven years for invoiced work). Unconverted lead submissions are kept for up to two years and then deleted on a rolling basis, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Cookies & tracking
This site uses minimal first-party cookies for essential site functionality (e.g., the contact form’s spam-prevention challenge). We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not run cross-site trackers. If we ever add analytics, it will be a privacy-respecting service that doesn’t identify individual visitors, and we’ll update this policy accordingly.
Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls on our internal systems, and encrypted credentials at rest. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we’ll notify you promptly and explain what happened.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- See what information we have about you.
- Correct anything that’s wrong (a typo in your address, a bad phone number, etc.).
- Delete your records, except where we’re legally required to keep them (invoicing/tax records).
- Opt out of any non-essential email we send (we don’t do bulk marketing today, but if we ever start, every message will have an unsubscribe link).

Children
Our services are intended for property owners and businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have, we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and post the new version here. For material changes, we’ll also flag it in any active customer communications.
